JMP is an up and coming DJ/Producer based in London. Having only been in the game for a short period, JMP has already played for the likes of Defected Records, DJ Mag, Mixmag and more global brands. His latest release - Hands In The Air Now out on Digital:Groove Records is already doing damage on the dance floor at the world famous Hi Ibiza club and also being supported by the likes of Paco Osuna, Blond:ish, Roog, Mikey Duncan, John Jones, MKEY and more. His sound: Techy baseline powered house music with rhythmic percussions. JMP will be making his Ibiza debut this October playing at the iconic Pikes Hotel with the likes of Doorly, GAWP and Hobbs (UK) to name a few.
His journey began playing at small parties, local bars and weddings. It wasn’t until having played at Ministry of Sound in 2016 through a DJing school were he attended to hone his craft that JMP realised that DJing and making music is what he wanted as a career.
Shortly after, JMP decided to resign from his 9-5 office job and narrowed in his focus on becoming a DJ and music producer. In 2017, JMP won a runner up prize from the respected label Defected and played at the high acclaimed known Ministry of Sound Club in London where he joined the likes of Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Ninetoes, Mat.Joe, Dario D’attis, Simon Dunmore as well as played an astonishing 5hour back2back set with Wez Saunders, the Managing Director of Defected. The very same year he made it to the Mixmag DJ competition finals and was invited to play at Mixmag Lab in London. 2018 saw JMP win the DJ Mag DJ Competition where he was invited to play on the Relentless stage at Leeds & Reading Festival alongside Jax Jones, Mike Skinner, Boston Bun and Icarus. Through his continued dedication to hone his craft JMP won the 2019 Defected DJ competition where he will be playing at their Croatia festival this summer.
Now focusing on music production, His vision is to have releases on his favourite labels Moon Harbour, Relief, Defected, Hot Creation, Toolroom, Moblack in the coming years.
